MQM demands CJ to order an inquiry on arson at Admin office of Nine Zero, Azizabad

MQM Coordination Committee has demanded the Chief Justice of Pakistan to constitute a commission for investigations on arson at Admin section of Khursheed Begum Memorial Complex adjacent to MQM Headquarters, Nine Zero, at Azizabad – Karachi.
It said that administration of the city had sealed the complex since August 22, 2016 after military crackdown against the Movement and the paramilitary Rangers had occupied the Nine Zero and the Complex and the entire zone of Azizabad is since then under strict control of the paramilitary Rangers. The Azizabad zone has since August 22 been placed under strict surveillance and the residents enter their houses after complete physical search.
It said that the paramilitary Rangers has restricted residents’ movement without a valid identity card and hence the intruders are out of question absolutely.
The Committee said that the Paramilitary Rangers always allege MQM of owners of hidden arms and ammunition they claim to unearth and always claim that the MQM South Africa Unit had hid that cache of arms. The paramilitary Rangers should also now tell as which group had set the admin block on fire and which unit of MQM was behind. They are sheer liars. The arson at the admin block could not be ignored as the Rangers are enjoying full control over the entire Azizabad zone. In fact, the Rangers had set the record and furniture of the Admin Block on fire to eliminate the record and everything that belongs to the Movement.
The Committee demanded the CJP to order for due investigations on the arson at Khursheed Begum Memorial Complex’s Admin Block and seek explanation from the occupant paramilitary Rangers.
