The consortium of military establishment and the incumbent government of PTI is crushing the people of Karachi, the Mohajirs at a speed of a rocket because these two are in haste to convert the port city of Karachi into a Satellite State of ‘Greater Punjab.’ The ongoing China-Pakistan economic Corridor is part of this Greater Punjab plan. The military-government consortium fully backed by country’s Supreme Court is demolishing huts, residential units, houses and shops of Mohajirs in Karachi in the garb of encroachments while the fact is that the people had lived and owned their property for decades. This is an absolute act of tyranny meant to enslave the Mohajirs of Karachi and expand the corners of military’s Cantonments in the city.
Mr. Altaf Hussain, who is the founder leader of the Muttahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM), said this while shocked over huge loss of people’s property in Karachi in the garb of removal of encroachments.
He said that he pre-dominantly acquired a job of raising his voice of concern for the rights of the people across the board, especially the Mohajirs, who are the worst of affected as compared to others at the hands of the establishment.. In his decades long untiring struggle for the rights of the people, he has been named as traitor and falsely been accused of money-laundering, which proved fake and misleading.
The path of struggle for the rights of the deprived and the oppressed is not a bed of roses. Martin Luther Jr. sacrificed his life while Nelson Mandela was jailed for 27 years. He said his entire life is open to all as he has been struggling for the rights of Mohajirs, Pashtoons, Balouchs, Sindhis, Seraikis, Hazarwals, Kashmiris, Gilgitis and Baltistanis.
He said that though he had alone been raising his voice of other communities but sadly, other communities never spoke against atrocities and injustices inflicted on to Mohajirs. In addition, many Mohajirs who are in other political parties also did not raise their voice on atrocities.
The Movement’s founder leader Mr. Hussain said that the trio of government-military establishment-Judiciary has imposed embargo on him and hence his statements, speeches and photos can’t be taken by the Pakistani media, both TV and newspapers. At the other, the Chief Justice alleges PPP”s Chief Asif Ali Zardari of minting billions from corruption and hence has declared him as untrustworthy and dishonest man.
He said that, “At the same, the Chief justice Mian Saquib Nisar ignores the sitting PM of Pakistan Imran Niazi on illegally occupying land around his residence Bani Gala.” “Though the PM Imran Niazi has been proven guilty of fathering an illegitimate child, the Chief Justice still declares him as most trustworthy and honest man in Pakistan.”
The military has killed thousands of Mohajirs. All institutions including courts are under siege by the military of Pakistan and they are the occupants of Pakistan on gun point, said Mr. Hussain
He said that the apex court of Pakistan has always endorsed the military dictators’ actions, which were in absolute violation of the constitution. Pakistan’s military and its paramilitary forces are the butchers as they have slain thousands of Mohajirs extrajudicially and in custody like they killed Aftab Ahmed on whose murder the then military chief had promised for a probe but to no avail. Similarly, the sitting military Chief Gen. Bajwah had promised to the aggrieved family of a Pashtoon Naqeeb Ullah Mehsood for justice but also to no avail.
Mr. Hussain slammed the authorities for demolishing people’s property and rendering them homeless and workless. Even the shops under KMC that were fully legal have also been demolished for a greater Punjab plan. As the world is watching closely, the demolishing of the property, houses and shops, is only carried out in Mohajir colonies while heavy encroachments by other non-Mohajir communities in Karachi are totally spared and ignored.
Mr. Hussain said that the sitting Chief Justice of Pakistan is one of key characters of ‘Greater Punjab Scheme.’ The Chief Justice’s kids are in England and he has no pain for the people whose property has been ruined on his orders. Apart from Karachi, the houses and shops of Mohajirs in other cities are also being demolished.
He said that the recent campaign for constructing dams in Punjab is also part of ‘Greater Punjab Scheme.’ The dams are meant to keep Punjab fertile and keep the rest of Pakistan thirsty and barren.
The Movement’s founder leader Mr. Hussain urged upon Mohajirs, Pashtoons and other communities that are being crushed at the hands of military establishment should take to street and oppose the military establishment on its anti-human acts and atrocities.
He said that, “Government of PTI in centre, government of PPP in Sindh, Supreme Court, and Chief Justice of Pakistan and military establishment are all united against the Mohajirs.” “The military’s puppet MQM factions in Pakistan are touts and slaves of the military establishment and are equally supporting the tyrant forces against the Mohajirs.”
He urged that the Mohajirs should not sit calm and quiet but they should react to the atrocities or else they would be made slaves of the military establishment.
He said that though he is struggling for a separate Mohajir province but the other communities should not be afraid of it. They would be respected and would live like Mohajirs with equality of rights.
He demanded for immediate compensation for the affected people of Karachi.
