ELECTIONS STAND AS WORST RIGGED IN POLITICAL HISTORY OF PAKISTAN: DR NADEEM EHSAN
The military establishment had already prepared results of the elections 2018. The founder of the Movement did not hesitate for a second to announce the boycott of the elections – MQM Convener
LONDON. July 29, 2018: Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Coordination Committee (CC) Convener Dr Nadeem Ehsan has rejected the General Elections 2018 saying that these were the most rigged elections in history of Pakistan. The public mandate of people from urban Sindh in particular was robbed and forcefully shifted towards blue-eyed of the King’s Party.
He was speaking to the audience at the MQM international secretariat here in London where the Movement had organised a General Workers’ Convention. The event was attended by the CC Deputy Convener Mr. Qasim Ali Raza, CC members, Central Executive Committee (CEC) members and others.
Dr Ehsan had also on the occasion announced the reformation of a 13-member Organising Committee.
The CC Convener Dr Ehsan said that the founder of the Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain had many days before July 25th, the day of polling in General Elections, pointed out that the elections would be sheer selection by the military establishment.
Mr. Hussain had also informed the people, “The military establishment had already prepared results of the elections 2018.” “The founder of the Movement did not hesitate for a second to announce the boycott of the elections”, added the CC Convener.
Dr Ehsan said that what Mr. Hussain had claimed has now been proven in the mirror of the engineered results of the engineered selections in the garb of elections. Today, almost every large or small political party is crying over the engineered results. Almost all political parties are asserting in a chorus that the military establishment had engineered the elections solely to promote the blue-eyed of the military establishment. The military establishment had rigged the elections in favour of King’s Party, which has no precedence in history of Pakistan’s political history.
He said that the military establishment had robbed the public mandate in favour of their blue-eyed and the King’s Party through engineered elections in which the public mandate of the people of urban Sindh, the Mohajirs stands worst affected.
The thugs who betrayed the Movement, the Mohajir Nation and the founder of the Movement had fully sided with the military establishment. The military establishment had not spared a brutal tactic to crush the Mohajirs especially in Karachi and hence the Mohajirs had on appeal of their leader Mr. Hussain completely boycotted the elections 2018 and stayed at homes. Thus the Mohajirs have once again proven that despite all injustices and atrocities by the military establishment, they would keep standing beside their leader Mr. Hussain.
He on behalf of Mr. Hussain offered salutations to the Mohajir Nation on their boycott. He said that the way the military establishment had deprived the Mohajir Nation of their mandate and rights had no precedence and thus a natural call for an accelerated struggle ab initio has been born. Therefore, the Mohajir Nation should along with their leader Mr. Hussain start a new struggle with a new enthusiasm to achieve the desired goals.
The CC Convener Dr Ehsan said that MQM UK and all overseas MQM Units have performed very well and urged upon them to accelerate their pace of struggle under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Hussain. The Mohajirs are united under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Hussain.
