LONDON. April 15, 2018: MQM founder leader Mr. Altaf Hussain said Pakistan is fateful country where the Military Junta has occupied her since the day one when the country was brought into being after tremendous sacrifices from his ancestors, the Mohajirs. The Military Junta of Pakistan is the sole possessor of all forms of powers and the democracy in Pakistan is just a duping tactic while in fact it is the military Junta that solely enjoys all kinds of powers. In real, it is stratocracy in Pakistan in lieu of and in the name of democracy. Not only Mohajirs but all oppressed folks of Pakistan including Balouchs and Pashtoons are looking forward and are demanding for their rights but on that demand these innate folks of Pakistan have been declared and treated as traitors, instead. These folks and Mohajirs want nothing but freedom and rights.
He expressed these views while addressing an august assembly of men, women, elderly and youth, MQM affiliates and dignitaries on the occasion of 34th Foundation Day of the Movement here at Johannesburg.
While cordially welcoming the respected 1st Secretary General of the South African Communist Party His Excellency Mr. Solly Mapaila, the MQM chief said that as he has been apprised, we have lost over 22, 000 innocent souls in our struggle to achieve our freedom, since 2013 over 1000 of his workers in Karachi, Pakistan have been subjected to enforced disappearances, 58 have been extra-judicially executed and over 10,000 are in arbitrary detention without access to any due process and the culprit is Pakistan’s military and intelligence agency, the ISI.
He said that all these issues of persecution had reached its height when they abducted his deputy convener Prof. Dr Hassan Zafar Arif from Karachi, the intelligence agencies of Pakistan, the ISI had abducted, tortured him to death in custody and dumped his body in the deserted area of Karachi. He was 72 at the time of his custodial death and was a PhD scholar from Harvard University and lecturer of Philosophy at Karachi University, his only crime was his affiliation to MQM chief.
Mr. Hussain said, “We seek your assistance to assist us in spreading the word of persecution being faced by the Mohajirs.” “Hold those accountable for the injustices being unleashed against his nation.”
He said that together we can ensure that another modern apartheid is stopped before it begins.
He apprised Comrade Mapaila that he and his party is facing an unjust and illegal embargo and the military junta has forced the Pakistani media not to publish and or telecast his speech, statement or live talk. Even that he has been barred from reaching his party men and women in millions over the telephone.
He said that Mohajirs are subject to extremely inhuman discrimination and they are treated like cows and goats and the military establishment does not hesitate in butchering them.
He said that he has completed his four decades long struggle as yet and would not bow down his head before the tyrant military junta and that he has in past rejected all offers and bribes for the discontinuation of the struggle for the rights and freedom of Mohajir Nation.
Mr. Hussain said that his party is secular and liberal and is striving to see the elimination of oppressive consortium of military junta and allying feudal elites. MQM want to make the education and health facilities free for all and wants equal rights for all ethnic folks in Pakistan including Seraikis, Pashtoons, Balouchs, Kashmiris and Hazarwals.

MQM wants rule of the people by the people and this irks the military junta. On this point, the corrupt military junta while misusing county’s all resources is wild chasing the MQM workers and even the relati8ves of him and his party leaders have been detained and untraceable disappearances since very long. The rule of law has been made a shame and joke in Pakistan by the military junta and its spy forces.
The military, ISI and other law enforcers had kidnapped his deputy convener slain Prof. Arif and brutally tortured him in custody and finally was executed on Jan 13, 2018.
“Freedom is a precious reality that could only be obtained through practical struggle and not by sheer verbal services and chanting slogans.
Mr. Hussain further told Comrade Mapaila that a highly notorious killer in Police ranks, SSP Rao Anwar executed a young Pashtoon Naqeebullah Mehsood but country’s apex court is favouring and protecting him. The apex court is conducting criminal attitude by denying immediate dispensation of justice to the bereaved families. It merits mentioning that SSP Anwar is accused of 444 executions of Mohajirs and Pashtoons in fake encounters.
Speaking on Pashtoon community case, he said that country’s most powerful military junta’s chief Gen. Qamar Jawaid Bajwah is miscuing all powers and resources to eliminate the Pashtoon community and is butchering them like animals.
Concluding his address, the MQM chief urged upon the MQM affiliates to focus on the struggle and ensure their right contribution without fail.
