Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s leader and the leader of the opposition in Sindh Assembly Faisal Sabzwari has condemned the armed robbery on a NED University bus by criminals in Nazimabad. Armed robbers deprived students of their valuables and documents.
In a statement, he deplored on the growing incidents of armed robbery on students buses. He said that last month criminals robbed students of Karachi University near Banaras Bridge. Now, this tragic happened with the students of NED University. They robbed students of mobile phones, cash, documents and other valuables.
Faisal Sabzwari said on the one hand political workers and innocent people were being targeted and subjected to brutal torture in police custody and imposing ban on social media and other means of communications in order to harass the common residents of Karachi, on the other hand they had given a free hand to criminals rob businessmen, industrialists, shop owners, doctors, students and citizens. These criminals are extorting money from people. They are killing and blowing up people who refuse to pay extortion money. Two days ago they threw a grenade at the clinic of a doctor in Gulistan-e-Jauher. Today they attacked the house of a bank manager with grenades in Frontier Colony because he had refused to pay extortion money. Criminals are robbing buses and are carrying out kidnappings for ransom as usual.
He deplored that the Sindh Government had initiated political victimization of MQM instead of taking actions against criminals. He said that the Sindh government should stop the political repression of MQM and should take action against the criminals who were carrying out armed robberies, kidnappings and subversive activities.
