MQM Convener strongly condemns assassination of Haq Parast UC-13 VC Muhammad Rashid

“Nobody is safe in Karachi but the ruling elite is constantly making tall claims of peace and tranquility in Karachi – Pakistan’s leading English daily Dawn had in recent days published a news story, which warned of targeted assassinations in Karachi by terrorists who escaped from Central Prison of Karachi – Nadeem Nusrat”

Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Coordination Committee Convener Mr. Nadeem Nusrat has strongly condemned the brutal assassination of Union Council (UC)-13 Shah Faisal Colony Haq Parast Vice Chairman (VC) Muhammad Rashid. He has extended his condolence to the aggrieved family.

He said, “Nobody is safe in Karachi as killers are freely operating in this port city, people of the city are losing their personal and expensive belongings to the robbers every day.” “Surprisingly, the ruling elite is still making tall claims about peace and tranquility.”

The MQM Convener Mr. Nusrat referred to a news story published in Pakistan’s leading English daily Dawn, which warned of multi-faceted assassinations of workers of MQM and of other political parties, selective people hailing from Shiite sect and PSP gang by two terrorists who had escaped from Karachi Central Prison in connivance with authorities concerned. The graph of political assassination has suddenly risen to an alarming scale after escape of the terrorists from Prison belonging to banned terrorist outfit. In this connection, two PSP gangsters were gunned down in Orangi Town a few days ago while MQM Haq Parast UC-13 VC was assassinated in Shah Faisal Colony last night.

Mr. Nusrat said it is now crystal clear as who are behind these targeted assassinations in the port city.

He demanded that the assassins of UC-13 VC Rashid should be arrested and taken to task as per law.

He assured the aggrieved family of complete support from MQM and condoled condolences on behalf of Father of Mohajir Nation and MQM founder leader Mr. Altaf Hussain, on behalf of every member of the Coordination Committee, and prayed for the departed soul.
