MQM slates grenade attack on police mobile

Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Coordination Committee has severely condemned the hand grenade attack on a police mobile in Korangi’s Bilal Colony that claimed the life of a policeman and caused injuries to several others.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Coordination Committee said that it was strange that at a time when a targeted operation against terrorists and extortionists was under way in the city, not only the citizens but even the security officials were being targeted by terrorists.
Expressing sorrow and grief over the death of a policeman in the Bilal Colony’s hand grenade attack, the Committee prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable lost. It also prayed for early recovery of the injured policemen.
The MQM Coordination Committee demanded of Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Sindh Governor, Dr Ishratul Ibad and Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to immediately arrest the culprits involved in the cowardly act, giving them exemplary punishment.
