MQM sends relief goods worth millions of rupees to quake-affected people of Balochistan

Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Coordination Committee’s Member and Haq Parast Member of Sindh Assembly Dr Sagheer Ahmed appealed to philanthropists to generously donate and deposit relief goods at the MQM’s Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation (KKF) for the earthquake-affected people of Balochistan.
MQM despite all hurdles had on the directives of Altaf Hussain provided relief goods worth millions of rupees among the earthquake-affected people of Awaran.
He was briefing newsmen about the Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation’s round-the-clock relief providing work continuing at the central relief camp set up in the KKF’s premises for the earthquake-affected people of affected of Balochistan. During his visit to the KKF he was accompanied with MQM Coordination Committee’s members, Yousuf Shahwani, Khalid Sultan, KKF’s In-charge Senator Ahmed Ali, Haq Parast MPA Ms Heer Suho and office-bearer of Muttahida’s Balochistan Committee.
Dr Sagheer on this occasion assured the earthquake affected people of Balochistan, saying that they should not consider them alone in their trying hours as the Muttahida chief Altaf Hussain was with them in the shape of MQM.
Voicing concern over the loss of lives and properties in the earthquake, he said that Altaf Hussain was the only leader who had always taken lead in raising voice for the oppressed people of the country and he would not leave people of Balochistan in their difficult times.
Recalling that Altaf Hussain had always provided relief and succor to the affected people of different natural calamities whether it was Azad Kashmir’s 2005 earthquake, Sindh’s drought and flood, earthquake that had hit Iran’s city of Batgram, he said that MQM had provided relief goods worth billions of rupees to the affected people of all such calamities.
Giving details of the relief goods provided to the quake-affected people of Balochistan, he said these included flour, rice, lentils, ghee, oil, sugar, salt, tea, dried milk, biscuits, camps, blankets, cooler, medicine, utensils, soap, tooth paste and brush and other essentials eatable items.
At the outset, Dr Sagheer since there was some difficulties in providing relief goods among the quake-affected people of Awaran due to law and order situation, the relief goods arranged by MQM was provided to the affected people by the armed forces’ personnel for which the MQM was highly indebted to them.
He also expressed gratitude to the Haq Parast people and philanthropists who gave generous donation for the quake-affected people of Balochistan on the appeal of Altaf Hussain.
