Condemning the firing incident in which a senior-most lecturer of the city’s Islamia College, Prof Ghulam Nabi, was injured, All-Pakistan Muttahida Students Organisation’s (APMSO) chairman and members of its central cabinet demanded of the people at the helm of affairs to bring the perpetrators of the crime to justice.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the APMSO said that it was highly deplorable that in a city where common citizens were not safe even the teachers who play the role a nation-building were also being targeted.
Recalling that only recently some anti-social elements had targeted a professor of a public sector university of Karachi when the latter had not allowed them to resort to cheating in an examination, the APMSO demanded of President, Prime Minister, Sindh Governor and Chief Minister to immediately take a notice of the incident, giving exemplary punishment to the culprits involved in the barbaric incident.
The AMPSO also prayed for the speedy recovery of Prof Ghulam Nabi.
