Mahmood Khan Achakzai ‘s hateful speech is deplorable and contrary to the facts: Dr. Farooq Sattar

 Posted on: 9/18/2013
Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Deputy parliamentary leader in the National Assembly Dr. Farooq Sattar has termed Mahmood Khan Achakzai ‘s hateful speech deplorable and contrary to the facts.
In a statement, Dr. Farooq Sattar deplored that we did not expect this kind of hateful and biased speech from senior politician and parliamentarian.  He has made a childish attempt to distort historical facts. He added that he has insulted the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the creation of Pakistan by terming their sacrifices as accident after sixty five years of independence. His hateful remarks are an insult to Pakistan too.
Muslims of UP, CP, Bihar and East Punjab and other areas did not make sacrifices so people like Mr. Achakzai, who cannot hoist Pakistan’s flag in his province, taunt them.
Dr. Farooq Sattar said Mr. Altaf Hussain has said in his speech the other day that Pakistan was facing internal and external challenges.  He had said the nation needed unity to face these challenges. He had urged against division action.
Dr. Farooq Sattar deplored that Mr. Achakzai should remember the situation in his own province is so bad that people could observe Independence and Pakistan Resolution days. Killing of people on ethnic basis has become a daily routine. Innocent people are pulled down from buses and killed. Recently, they burnt down the last resting place of the father of the nation.
He said that as far the tragic incident of May 12 was concerned. MQM has demanded an impartial enquiry into the incident a number of times. It again repeats its demand the formation of an impartial commission to investigate into the incidents occurred on May 12 2007 so the perpetrators could be brought to justice.
