ATC’s Waqas murder case decision unjustifiable: MQM

ATC’s Waqas murder case decision unjustifiable: MQM
 Posted on: 8/8/2016 1
The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement termed the Anti-Terrorists Court’s (ATC) verdict murder of justice when MQM worker Asif Ali Khan was given death sentence in Waqas Ali Shah murder case.
In a statement, the Coordination Committee said that the decision was to defame MQM and part of the conspiracy to character assassination against MQM’s workers and leaderships. It said that the budding youth Syed Waqas Ali Shah was protesting against the illegal raid at Nine-Zero on 11th March 2014 by the politically motivated Rangers that killed him.
The Committee said that the video clip of the incident clearly shown the Rangers’ personnel firing on Waqas Shah and after killing him the Rangers fled from the scene haphazardly. It said that rather convicting Rangers’ personnel in Waqas Shah murder case MQM’s worker Asif Ali Khan was sentence to death.
The Coordination Committee said that more than 61 workers were brutally murdered in extra-judicial killings by the Rangers and police in their custody but the ATC did not take any action against the Rangers personnel but convicted MQM’s innocent worker Asif Ali Khan. It demanded the authorities to maintain justice in Waqas Shah murder case and the involved personnel should be punished rather conspicuously convicting innocent man in the case.
