MQM MNAs demands sou moto against fake statement

KARACHI, 28-07-2016:
The Members of National Assembly of Muttahida Quami Movement demanded the Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan to take sou moto action against the police officials involved in illegal leak of fake investigation report and confessional statement of nominated-Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar about 12th May 2007 incidents.

In a statement, the National Parliamentarians said that Wasim Akhtar had categorically denied any such confessional statement being relayed on national media. They said that his hand-written letter dumped the entire conspiracy of the establishment and the authority trying to malign MQM from the political scenario.

The MNAs said that the nominated-Mayor was being punished for his dedication and commitment for MQM Chief Mr. Altaf Hussain and his equivocal stance against the controversial operation by the Rangers and police. They said that the unfolded blacken face of the conspiracy against the mandate of the Karachiites revealed the desires of some malice elements.

The MQM Parliamentarians demanded the President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to take notice against the fake confessional statement of nominated-Mayor of the city. They said that Wasim Akhtar was being targeted for affiliation with MQM and it was responsibility of the judiciary to provide due justice to a publically mandated man.
