Muttahida Qaumi Movement’ Deputy Convener and the member of National Assembly has said that we have not been able to achieve the objectives for which Pakistan was created. A society which strives for elimination of injustices is considered the best society. But today, we see a conspiracy to crush MQM  and stop it from spreading its message to other parts of Pakistan instead of ending the reign of terror from Karachi. These short-sighted people must know that it is 2013 not June 1992. 
He expressed these views while address a dinner party organized by the Engineering Forum for engineers at the City Sports Complex (KMC Sports Complex). MQM’s Rabita Committee Member Haider Abbas Rizvi, former Haq Parast National Assembly Member Engineer Farhan Khan, APMSO’s Tauseef Kareemi, former Petroleum Minister Atiq Ahmed and notables of the city were present too.
He said in his address that democracy cannot flourish in a country where feudal system exists. This system negates democratic system. Karachi is the only place in Pakistan where democracy exists. Highly educated people from this city have reached assemblies because of their political consciousness. 
Dr. Khalid Maqbool said that MQM enjoys 85% mandate of Karachi. However, the residents of Karachi were looted on the pretext of searching illegal arms in their houses. You cannot clear Karachi of illegal arms unless you clear illegal arms from other parts of Pakistan. Some people get irked when MQM says this. We say this because arms are not made in Karachi. They are brought from North Areas of Pakistan. 
Everyone knows where criminals live in Karachi. Innocent Muhajir people were slaughtered in Lyari. Kidnappers have made the lives of Karachi’s business men, industrialists and people miserable. 
He said we wanted make it clear to our rivals that we have made Pakistan and Islam our identity. More than 80% of Sindh’s urban population consisted of Hindus before partition. When Muslims settled here after partition they made Pakistan and Islam their identity because they had left their regional identities behind. 
Former Haq Parast National Assembly Member Engineer Farhart Khan said Engineering Forum has been formed to help students in their problems. Former Petroleum Minister and director of Siemen Sohail Wajahat said that economy depends on engineers. We can improve our economy with good engineers. He added that there are 27 thousands engineers if they sit together the can create wonders.
