News report about bank accounts of MQM and Altaf Hussain is baseless: MQM Spokesman

A spokesman of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) has categorically rejected the contents of the news published in a section of press about the bank accounts of MQM and Mr Altaf Hussain and termed it as baseless having nothing to do with facts.
The spokesman said that the allegations levelled in the news report regarding the bank accounts of MQM and Mr Hussain were unfounded.
“The number of bank accounts maintained by Mr Hussain and MQM has always been as would be expected by a common person.”
The spokesman said that the news report has tarnished the image of MQM and Mr Hussain and damaged their reputation. They reserved their right to take legal action for which consultations with lawyers are underway.
The spokesman added that the MQM lawyers are writing a letter to the Scotland Yard seeking explanation as the news report claims to have obtained information from the Scotland Yard.
