Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Rabita Committee has strongly condemned the report published in the American newspaper the New York Times about the Founder and leader of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain. They have termed it baseless, fabricated, absurd and provocative.
In a statement, they said the provocative report in the New York Times has been written by Delcan Walsh, who is a discredited journalist. According to media reports, he was declared persona non grata and expelled from Pakistan sometime ago.
Rabita Committee said that Mr. Hussain is the head of a big party and a popular leader of millions of people.  He (Delcan) has tried to attempt a character assassination of Quaid-e-Tehreek. The language used in the report is contrary to the journalistic ethics and code of conduct.
Rabita Committee said the party would sue the journalist and the New York Times for defamation because they have tried to damage the good reputation of Mr. Hussain. We are in consultation with the legal experts in this regard.
