DEMANDS TO THE PRESIDENT, PRIME MINISTER, FEDERAL INTERIOR MINISTER, GOVERNOR SINDH AND CHIEF MINISTER SINDH FOR INVESTIGATION AND STRINGENT ACTION AGAINST THOSE RESPONSIBLE

The MQM Coordination Committee has strongly condemned the illegal abduction and torture of renowned journalist of The Friday Times Ali Chishti at the hands of police. The MQM Coordination Committee said that according to the statement of Ali Chishti police personnel abducted him in a police mobile van and took him to a house where he was tortured. Yesterday, some police personnel also visited his office and enquired about his whereabouts and threatened the staff. The Coordination Committee strongly condemning his illegal abduction and torture has termed this as part of a heinous conspiracy. The Coordination Committee expressed their sympathy and support to Ali Chishti and has demanded of the President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah to take notice and investigate the abduction and torture of Ali Chishti and take stringent action against the police personnel involved as per the law of land.
