The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain thoroughly felicitated Sadiq Khan for being elected as first ever Pakistani-born London’s mayor.
In a statement issued from London Secretariat, MQM Chief said Khan’s success as London’s mayor reflected that the British society was well civilized and free from all discriminations, especially racism and religious differences. He expected that the newly-elected mayor would serve people without any prejudices.
Meanwhile, MQM Convener Nadeem Nusrat also congratulated Sadiq Khan for his historical success and said that he would serve people on merit. He said that a Pakistani-born could become London’s mayor but a muhajir in Sindh could not become Chief Minister of the province. He said without eliminating such prejudices and hatred Pakistan could not be developed or progressed.
