The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. AltafHussain said that police, Rangers and security agencies openly violating the Constitution in the name of so-called Karachi-operation.

In statement issued from London Secretariat, MQM Chief strongly condemned the extra-judicial killing of Aftab Ahmed, MQM worker and Coordinator of DrFarooqSattar. He also expressed his deep sorrow and grief over the unfortunate killing of an innocent man.

He said that Aftab Ahmed was a hard worker and honest man running his own business and assisting DrFarooqSattar as his Coordinator. He said that the Rangers arrested him from his house on 1st May 2016 and the court remanded him for 90 days to the Rangers custody where he was brutally tortured to death.

He said that the Rangers brought him to the hospital when he was about to die and after he succumbed to death the Rangers surrounded the morgue to attain their wishful postmortem report and for that matter the doctors and the paramedics were forced to go out. He said that such brutality could not be found anywhere in the world.

Mr. Hussain said that the ongoing Karachi-operation was started against the jet-black terrorists but turned it around MQM and more than 50 party workers had extra-judicially been murdered. He said that the Rangers personnel got ragged against MQM and adopted the policy to arrest and kill its innocent workers and supporters.

He demanded the President MumnoonHussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister ChaudhryNisar Ali Khan, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Home Minister Suhail Anwar Sayal to take immediate notice of the incident. He also demanded to investigate the issue and bring the culprits before the courts.
