Muttahida Qaumi Movement Quaid’s has directed office bearers and workers of MQM’s units, sectors, zonal offices and districts to cancel all their organizational and political activities and participate in the protest demonstrations in large numbers for the registration of cases against journalists by the Baluchistan government. He issued this instruction Monday while addressing a joint emergency meeting of Rabita Committee.
He said that MQM believes in the freedom of press and considers that the case registered against ARY owners and senior journalists is highly condemnable. Mr. Altaf Hussain has directed MQM’s office bearers and workers of all units, sectors, zonal offices and districts to participate in these protest demonstrations in large numbers for ARY News and tell the world that MQM is with the journalist community and is ready to sacrifice for the press freedom.
He has appealed to workers, mothers, sisters, kids and elders to participate in the demonstration by wearing black stripes on their arms. Mr. Altaf Hussain paid great tributes to journalists who take great risks in doing their work and termed it bravery.
