Take Notice of anxiety and uneasiness in Karachi’s business community: Rabita Committee

Take Notice of anxiety and uneasiness in Karachi’s business community: Rabita Committee
 Posted on: 8/26/2013
Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Rabita Committee has demanded of the government to provide protection to Karachi’s businessmen and industrialists without any delay and get them deliverance from criminals and terrorists.
The Rabita Committee has said in a statement that notorious criminals and terrorists have made lives of Karachi’s businessmen and industrialists difficult for them.  Continued violence, terrorism, murders, extortion cases and robberies have created feelings of insecurity among them and they are moving their business abroad.
The Rabita Committee lamented that everyone knows about these anti-social elements that are targeting businessmen and industrialists responsible for the economic prosperity of Karachi. It is deplorable that the government has failed to provide protection to business community despite the identification of these criminals and terrorists and we don’t see any concrete steps by the government to arrest these anti-social elements.
There is a growing trend of extortion from businessmen, kidnapping for ransom and targeted killings of businessmen. This situation has created a sense of anxiety among businessmen and industrialists.
The Rabita Committee has expressed solidarity with  businessmen and industrialists and has assured them that MQM is with the business community and will not leave them alone. It will raise voice for their rights on every forum.
The Rabita Committed has demanded of the acting governor Sindh Agha Siraj Durani and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to take notice of anxiety and uneasiness in Karachi’s business community and provide protection to the businessmen and industrialists without any delay and take action against terrorists who are killing businessmen.
