Muttahida Quami Movement chief Altaf Hussain said here that the results of Thursday’s by-elections held under the supervision of army should be accepted with an open-heart and the people’s mandate must be respected.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the MQM chief said that at a time when the country was passing through a critical juncture and faced with both internal and external threats, it cannot afford any confrontation.
Mr Hussain felicitated Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief and prime minister Nawaz Sharif and other PML-N leaders, Pakistan People’s Party’s Co-Chairman and President Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and other leaders, Awami National Party chief Asfandyar Wali and leaders and the leaders of other parties on the victory of their candidates in the Thursday’s by-elections.
He urged all parties to accept the results of the by-polls whole heartedly and demonstrate complete unity for the solidarity and survival of the country as it cannot afford any confrontation at this crucial juncture.
