Felicitating Awami National Party (ANP) leadership on the victory of Ghulam Ahmed Bilour in the Thursday’s by-election from NA-1, Muttahida Quami Movement chief Altaf Hussain, termed it `a success of moderate and democracy-loving people’.
The MQM chief, who rang up Mr Bilour to felicitate him on his success in the by-poll and the ANP chief Asfandaryar Wali, said that the victory was the fruit of the sacrifices of lives rendered by Bashir Ahmed Bilour and other ANP leaders and, as such, he and his colleagues were quite happy over Mr Bilour’s emerging victorious in the by-poll.
Reciprocating the sentiments expressed by the MQM chief, the ANP leader, Mr Bilour, said it was heartening for him that Mr Hussain always remembered him and prayed to Almighty Allah to keep Mr Hussain happy forever.
Mr Bilour also prayed that Almighty Allah might grant courage and strength to both the MQM and ANP to serve the country and its citizens.
