PIA’s Suhail Baloch calls Nadeem Nusrat

The Chairman of PIA Employees’ Joint-Action Committee Suhail Baloch telephoned MQM International Secretariat and talked to the Convener Nadeem Nusrat.

In a statement issued from London Secretariat, said that the Chairman thanked MQM Chief Mr. Altaf Hussain and party leadership for showing solidarity and raising voice for the protesting employees of PIA. He informed the Convener that the certain group in the government wanted to privatize the national airliner.

He elaborated that the employees did not want PIA to be privatized and for that purpose they had been protesting peacefully for their rights. But the government utilized force to suppress their voice and during the protest two PIA employees were killed by security personnel and four employees were still missing.

Suhail Baloch said that MQM’s solidarity encouraged their moral and invited to attend next day peaceful rally. Mr. Nusrat expressed his sorrow and grief over the killings of innocent employees who had been protesting for their rights. He also ensured MQM’s support for their all legal demands.
