MQM Senators sees media ban violation of rights

MQM Senators sees media ban violation of rights
 Posted on: 1/27/2016
The Senators of Muttahida Quami Movement said that the ban on the speeches, news and interview of MQM Chief Mr. Altaf Hussain was sheer violation of freedom of speech and which would not be tolerated by the people.
In a joint statement, the Senators said that the people registered their protest against the media ban on Mr. Hussain and yesterday’s participation actually reflected people’s referendum on the issue. They said that the ban in democratic government should be condemned because millions of people were being hurt and deprived of their rights to contact with their beloved leader.
They said it was irony that the leaderships of banned outfits or terror organizations were allowed to propagate their malice agendas but the people’s beloved leader was barred to contact with his followers and supporters. They said that it was conspiracy to silence the voice of Mr. Altaf Hussain because he had been revealing the beneath truths or facts in front of the nation.
The Senators appealed national and international human rights organizations, social societies and observers to raise their voice against such discrimination. They also demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, COAS General Raheel Sharif and Chief Justice of Supreme Court to immediately abolish the undemocratic ban on MQM Chief Mr. Altaf Hussain.
