KESC should immediately take back its illegal announcement of 10 to 13 hours load shedding. MQM Central Coordination Committee

KESC should immediately take back its illegal announcement of 10 to 13 hours load shedding. MQM Central Coordination Committee
 Posted on: 8/17/2013
The Central Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement has strongly condemned the load shedding of 10 to 13 hours daily in the residential, commercial and industrial areas of Karachi by Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) due to the nonpayment of outstanding dues/bills of KESC by the government.
While criticizing an un announced load shedding the Central Coordination Committee said that already Karachiites are forced to buy the expensive electricity but even then they are facing un announced and prolonged electricity outages, While taxes are being regularly accrued in garb of billing by the citizens. But despite of all these facts the 10 to 13 hours load shedding by KESC is a sheer coercion.
The Central Coordination Committee said that imposing the wrath of unannounced 10 to 13 hours prolonged outages in all the residential, commercial and industrial areas of Karachi is totally against the intricacies of the justice and this decision like deliberately enhancing the troubles and problems of the Karachiites in the garb of the nonpayment of electricity bills by the government departments.
The central Coordination Committee urged the KESC authorities to take legal course of action for the payment of their outstanding dues from the government instead of committing injustice and using coercive tactics by imposing the wrath of load shedding upon the masses.
The Central Coordination Committee has demanded Prime Minister  Mian Mohammed Nawaz Sharif, Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad, Sindh  Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to take stern and serious notice of the imposing of 10 to 13 hours prolonged electric outrages on citizens by the KESC with the lame excuse of the nonpayment of  its outstanding dues by the government and must play an effective and positive role to take back the announcement of  10 to 13 hours load shedding by getting involved into the matter.
