MQM to hold a protest demonstration in front of Rangers headquarters in Karachi
Karachi: 25th November 2015.
MQM has announced a peaceful protest demonstration in front of the Rangers headquarters tomorrow against the raids at its election offices and arrests of workers and election candidates.

The decision was taken in a joint sitting of the Co-ordination Committee in London and Pakistan. MQM Founder and Leader Mr Altaf Hussain has endorsed the decision of the Co-ordination Committee.

The meeting deplored unwarranted arrests of MQM candidates and erection of hurdles in the election campaign of MQM and termed it a flagrant violation of democratic norms and human rights.

The Co-ordination Committee stressed that MQM is a democratic, liberal, moderate and enlightened political party firmly believing in freedom of expression.

It said MQM represents millions of people and holding a peaceful protest against gross injustices and denial of political activities is the basic constitutional, legal and democratic right of the people.

The Co-ordination Committee meeting unanimously decided to hold a protest demonstration at 2:00 pm on Thursday against raids at election offices, creating hurdles in election campaign and arrests of workers. The protest march will start at Liaquatabad No 10 and end at the Rangers headquarters.

MQM Co-ordination Committee has appealed to women, youth, students and people belonging to all other walks of life to participate in the protest demonstration and express their unity.
