Felicitating Eid-ul-Fitr to the Muslims all over the world, including Pakistanis, Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain, urged the people to celebrate the occasion with simplicity in view of recent acts of terrorism, tragic incidents and the havoc caused by torrential rains and floods in Karachi and other cities of the country.
He also exhorted them to share happiness of the Eid and demonstrate unity with their brethren who had suffered in the wake of continuing acts of terrorism and the devastation caused by rains and floods in different cities of the country, including Karachi.
In a congratulatory message issued on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the MQM chief said that as the Eid-ul-Fitr was being celebrated on the same throughout Pakistan it would augur well for the country, saying that such a solidarity and unity was the need of the hour in every sphere of life in the country.
Exchanging special greetings to MQM leaders, elected representatives and workers, office-bearers, mothers, sisters, elders, children belonging to Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, Mr Hussain urged the leaders, elected representatives and office-bearers of the Muttahida to remember their martyred colleagues on this auspicious occasion, visit their houses to share the grief of their family members.
At the outset, Mr Hussain prayed to the Almighty Allah to user in era a peace and tranquility all over the Muslim world on this auspicious occasion and steer Pakistan out of all dangers and difficulties, putting the country on the road to progress and prosperity.
