Political workers arrest benefitting religious extremists: Dr. Farooq Sattar
MQM acknowledges its mistakes, volunteered to hand over anti-social or criminal elements within party cadre but still party is being targeted and innocent workers put to worst kind of torture, said Deputy Convenor of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Dr Farooq Sattar.
He was addressing the members of the Hindu community in Defence Karachi. He said that since 1992 MQM is victim of targeted operation by the state on one pretext or the other. First we were accused of introducing Kalashnikov culture having 100,000 guns, of separatist movement (Jinnahpur), killing Hakim Muhammad Said and now again accused of being agents of RAW and anti-peace.
These elements fail to take notice of killings like Khairpur killing; recovery of weapons from offices of political parties but no one speak a little.
Democracy is still a dream for people of Karachi while networks of Taliban and Al-Qaeda are flourishing, he said adding that arrest of political workers is only benefitting the religious extremists.
