Statement regarding today’s hearing in a West London Magistrates Court

Contrary to reports circulating in the Pakistani media, we confirm that a hearing that took place today in a West London Magistrates Court was in respect of the civil case of cash seized from premises in London. No MQM personnel had been summoned to this hearing, nor did any of them seek a delay in appearance.
The Metropolitan Police have applied for a further three-month extension to the period during which they have held funds seized from these premises. This extension, known as an adjournment, has been approved by the Court.
