Altaf Hussain lauds govt for taking effective steps on `Youm-e-Ali (RA)’

Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has lauded the government and administration for taking effective law and order measures on the occasion of `Youm-e-Shahadat Ali (RA)’ across the country.
The MQM chief said that the Youm-e-Shahdat Ali (RA) was observed with religious sanctity in Karachi as elsewhere in the country and all the processions taken out on the occasion culminated peacefully for which we should be thankful to Almighty Allah.
Mr Hussain said that the MQM not only believes in sectarian harmony and religious tolerance but also accept all the inhabitants of Pakistanis belonging to all the religions and schools of thought as equal citizens.
Reiterating that the MQM would continue to play its role for bringing an end to sectarian violence and riots, Mr Hussain that his party since its inception had been struggling hard to promote sectarian harmony and brotherhood in the country.
