MQM Chief terms martyrdom of Shuja Khanzada a ‘National Tragedy ‘

KARACHI: MQM Chief Altaf Hussain expressing grief over martyrdom of Colonel (Rtd) Shuja Khanzada, Punjab Minister for Home Affairs in twin suicide blasts at his political office in the area of Shadi Khan village termed it a “ National Tragedy”. 
In a statement issued from London, he said that this tragic incident has not only left the people of Punjab sad and grieved but equally all the peace loving people of entire country. The manner in which the suicide bombers carried out the attack shows that the terrorist still have the capacity to strike at their will and target innocent citizens  at place of their choice. 
The terrorists are carrying out dastardly acts in all cities of Pakistan with a sole aim of destabilizing the country, MQM chief said.
 Extending support to the government efforts to control terrorism, Mr. Altaf Hussain said that National Action Plan shall be enforced with all might to weed out terrorists. Let the people, government, opposition parties join hands and exhibit exemplary unity to fight terrorism and terrorists, said Mr. Altaf Hussain.
Punjab Home Minister Col (Rtd) Shuja Khanzada fell victim to the blasts by two suicide bombers who blew themselves up one after the another at “ Dera |” of the Khanzada where he was meeting the people of his constituency. About a dozen including Punjab Home Minister lost their lives in the incident. after the roof of the hall collapsed after simultaneous blasts.
He expressed his sincere condolences with the Prime Minister Nazaw Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and the family members of those who were martyred in the gory incident. He prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and elevate their ranks in Jannah & grantcourage to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.
