MQM Coordination Committee expresses concern, demands PM, CM Sindh for immediate recovery of missing party workers, supporters
Muttahida Quami Movement Coordination Committee members have expressed grave concern over losing the contact with 12 party workers and supporters who had gone missing on their way from Karachi to Hyderabad.
In a statement, MQM Coordination Committee said that four party activists of MQM Gulistan-e-Jouhar Sector and eight party supporters have left Karachi for Hyderabad on three vehicles to attend a marriage ceremony. The family members lost their contact at about 10.30 p.m. with them and from that moment their whereabouts are not known till this evening.
Those who are missing include office-bearers of Unit-B of MQM Gulistan-e-Jouhar Sector Waleed Kamal son of Arif Kamal, Shayan Rehman son of Rehman, party workers Yasir Kazmi and Sajid Usmani besides party supporters Adil, Raheel Khan, Asad Raza son of Wazir Hussain, Saad Hashmi son of Sajid Hashmi, Adeel Mirza son of Naheed Mirza, Waseem, Rehan and Junaid Ali son of Syed Irshad Ali.
Coordination Committee members said that the family members of these missing party workers and supporters are under mental agony.
The Coordination Committee members have demanded of the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah and provincial Home Minister Sohail Anwer Siyal to take immediate notice of the situation and order steps for the safe recovery of the missing MQM workers and supporters without any delay.
