Altaf Hussain asks COAS Raheel Sharif to order an inquiry into the allegations of federal ministers about ISI
London: 25th July 2015.
Addressing Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, MQM Founder and Leader Altaf Hussain has said that Allah Almighty has favoured him and bestowed on him the command of the armed forces so that he may also walk in the footsteps of the second Rightly Guided Caliph Hazrat Umar Farooq (May Allah be pleased with him) and establish justice.
“Hazrat Umar Farooq (May Allah be pleased with him) had said that he would be held accountable on the Day of Judgment even if a dog died of hunger on the banks of River Euphrates.”
“I hope that walking in the footsteps of Hazrat Umar Farooq (May Allah be pleased with him), you will order an impartial inquiry into the allegations made by the federal ministers against two former chiefs of ISI.”
Mr Hussain said that the federal ministers have alleged that:
1.      The sit-in organized by Imran Khan was planned by two former chiefs of ISI.

2.      Lt Gen Shuja Pasha and Lt Gen Zaheerul Islam arranged funding for the sit-in through businessmen of the corporate sector.

3.      The allegation levelled by prominent anchor person Jawed Chaudhry regarding the use of money obtained from ransom should also be investigated. This money was allegedly used for the sit-in that lasted for 126 days.

4.      Who is responsible for the deaths of people, whether civilian or police personnel, during the period of the sit-in?

5.      The audio tape about the vandalism at Pakistan Television in which Dr Arif Alvi congratulates Imran Khan and further instructions given in this regard.

Mr Hussain asked COAS Raheel Sharif to order an immediate inquiry into the points given above. He said that he would present evidence of the innocence of Mohajirs, who have been killed extrajudicially by Rangers in custody. These people had not even the remotest connection with terrorism.
