MQM holds rally on water crisis at Korangi No-5

Muttahida Quami Movement has organized a protest rally, was hugely participated by the local residents at Korangi No-5 over the artificial shortage of water in Karachi.
Talking on the occasion, member Coordination Committee Qamar Mansoor said that the fund allocated for Karachi was sanctioned for Islamababd Metro-Bus service and not a single political party was ready to raise its voice for it. He said that people, including women and children were on the road searching for water all around the city.
MQM leader said that the PPP and PML-N governments neither gave due jobs to Karachiites nor carried out the development works in the city. He said that the provincial government politicized water crisis and consistently discriminated the people already deprived of their fundamental rights.
While member Coordination Committee Arif Khan Advocate said that whenever MQM was in the local government, Karachi never faced such crisis. He said that the current PPP’s government made people’s lives miserable by its corruption and prejudice.
He said that the people had come on the road to ask for their rights, as the government did not bother to give water, people seemed to take their own measures for the rights. He said that the authorities should take immediate notice and resolve the issue on priority. MNA Ali Rashid, MPAs Amir Moin, Syed Waqar Shah, Khalid Iftikhar and Sheeraz Waheed also addressed the rally.
