MQM’s MNAs Collectively Condemn the Brutal Murder of Sajid Qureshi & his Son

Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) members of national assembly have strongly condemn the murder of their MPA Sajid Qureshi and his son Waqas Qureshi and said that terrorist are freely targeting MQM and government and law enforcement agencies are doing nothing to apprehend these terrorist and have miserably failed to protect the property and lives of both elected representatives and common people.
In a joint statement by the MNAs they made the point on one hand the terrorists banned outfits are targeting elected representatives and workers while on the other hand the law enforcement agencies are illegally abducting, torturing and doing extra judicial killing of its workers and three workers have lost their lives owing to fierce torture by law enforcing agencies. They said that it is now pretty obvious that it is an organized conspiracy against MQM and the criminals of gang war and other terrorists are being provided cover to carry out these activities.
Urdu speaking community in Karachi is specially being targeted and feeling extremely insecure while the concerns responsible for law and order situation do not seem to take concrete actions to bring an end to this brutality and un-announced operation against MQM. They are not doing enough that could give both workers of MQM and common people the sense of security, said the MNAs. They said that MQM was the biggest elected representative of Karachi and despite this fact some biased forces are blaming MQM for all the mess in Karachi despite condemning it and offering help to improve the situation and it is a vivid evidence of the conspiracy being hatched against MQM.
The MNAs extended sympathies to the family of martyrs Sajid Qureshi and his son Waqas Qureshi and prayed for the forgiveness of departed souls. They also appealed President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah to immediately arrest the terrorists involved in the murder of Sajid Qureshi and his Waqas Qureshi and take effective measures to protect the lives of MQM’s workers and elected representatives.
