Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s central coordination committee has strongly condemned the hand-grenade attack on a Rangers’ Katti Paharri check-post that left one policeman dead and around eight law- enforcement personnel severely injured.
The Committee in a statement issued here on Saturday said that the terrorists who have been targeting the law enforcement agencies, Rangers, police, common citizens and workers and office-bearers of MQM, mainly to achieve their nefarious designs, were not being apprehended.
It deplored that though the issue concerning abduction and killing of law-enforcement agencies’ personnel by notorious gang war had surfaced recently, it always seems to have been ignored owing to some political reasons.
The Committee also expressed its sympathies with the bereaved family of the deceased policeman and prayed to Almighty Allah for the speedy recovery of all those law-enforcement agency’s personnel who sustained injuries in the incident.
The committee demanded of Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad, Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, D-G Rangers to arrest the culprits involved in the incident and give them exemplary punishment.
