Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s chief Altaf Hussain said here on Friday that the victory of Haq Parast candidate from PS-128 was the fruit of workers’ round-the-clock hard work and the sacrifices of the party’s martyred.
He was talking over phone from London to newly-constituted Coordination Committee, Pakistan and London, Karachi Tanzeemi (Organisational) Committee and workers of Muttahida’s different departments at the MQM headquarters Nine Zero.
Expressing his joy over the victory of Haq Parast candidate from PS-128, Waqar Hussian Shah, Mr Hussain thanked Almighty Allah and felicitated to the recently formed Coordination Committees of both Pakistan and London, Karachi Tanzeemi Committee, Karachi Muzafati Organising Committee, Punjabi-Pakhtun Organising Committee, Hazara Organising Committee, MQM Women Wing, Landhi Sector and Unit’s workers and office-bearers and all Haq Parast people of the PS-128.
Mentioning that Tehreek and Tanzeem often confronted with tests, he said that the process of re-organising MQM at central level has not yet been accomplished but the Almighty Allah gave strength and courage to newly-elected Coordination Committee and Karachi Tanzeemi Committee, comprising few members, who by their sheer hard work had proved that the movement continued to move ahead in the shape of a caravan and the movement never gets affected with the leaving or with dissociation of anyone from it.
Expressing his deep grief and sorrow over the killing of MQM Ranchhore Lines’ Sector worker, Waqas Ali, at the hands of terrorists, Mr Hussain prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
On this occasion, the MQM chief thanked members of civil society, NGOs, women organizations and over 100,000 people for signing the petition in favour of MQM and sending the same to the British and Denmark governments.
