Japan’s Special Assistant for South Asia, Takahiro Tamura, called on the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Coordination Committee Member Syed Haider Abbas Rizvi and the party’s Parliamentary leader in the National Assembly, Dr Farooq Sattar and discussed the country’s overall political and economic situation.
Former Haq Parast MNA, Kunwar Khalid Younus, was also present on the occasion.
The meeting held at the MQM’s Khursheed Begum Secretaiat, Azizabad, for over an hour, also discussed a number of issues concerning the situation arising out in the wake of 2013 general elections, Muttahida’s role of opposition at both the federal and provincial levels, holding of local bodies elections in Sindh, etc. Ends.
