MQM urges PM to take notice of PAC’s acts of barbarism

Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Coordination Committee’s Member, Haider Abbas Rizvi, on Wednesday, demanded of the government to immediately arrest the so-called People’s Amn Committee’s terrorists involved in the kidnapping and brutal killing of the party’s three sympathisers in Malir.
Deploring that the outlawed People’s Amn Committee’s terrorists were being used for the genocide of MQM workers and office-bearers, he urged the authorities to conduct raids in Lyari and wherever there was a presence of the PAC’s armed terrorists.
Mr Haider was speaking at news conference along with other members of the Coordination Committee Nisar Panhwar and Wasay Jalil and Haq Parast members of Sindh Assembly at Khursheed Begum Secretariat, Azizabad.
Referring to continued killings and kidnapping of MQM workers and sympathizers, he urged the newly elected Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif to take immediate notice of such barbaric acts.
The MQM leader also appealed to Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to take suo motu notice of the continued brutal killings of the Muttahida’s workers and sympathisers and urged the human rights organisations to take immediate notice and raise their voice against the genocide of the party workers.
Briefing the newsmen about the barbaric act of kidnapping and killing of MQM’s three workers – Mehtab Waheed, son of an elderly worker of MQM Malir Sector’s Unit-98, Abdul Waheed; Farhan s/o Faizan, a nephew of the same unit committee’s member Javaid Saeed and two other sympathizers of the party – Tauseef and Farhan Idrees – were kidnapped by armed terrorists at a little ahead Malir City police station’s Salar Goth, near Main National Highway when they were heading towards their factory, located in Korangi in the Factory’s bus (NoT0361) after identifying them through their CINC. Later, the bodies of three of them were dumped in Malir River, near Jam Goth while Farhan Idress who was severely injured has been admitted to a local hospital.
Quoting eye-witnesses, Mr Rizvi said that one Suhail Salari, alias Suhail Dada, who belonged to People’s Amn Committee’s Suhail Dada group and notorious for indulging in heinous crimes such as kidnapping for ransom, extortion, robberies and sale of narcotics, was involved in the kidnapping and killing of the MQM workers and sympathizers.
Voicing his concern over the continued killing of MQM workers, he said that only a couple of days back the armed terrorists of the so-called PAC had gunned down the Member of the party’s Mauripur Sector’s Muzafati (Suburban) Organising Committee, Mohammad Babar while a few days back another sympathizer of the party, Hassan Raza, who was married only a month back was murdered in Rizvia Society.
He regretted that on the one hand, the armed terrorists of the PAC had been given license to kill innocent people, kidnap for ransom, extort money from shopkeepers and businessmen while, on the other, innocent workers and sympathizers of MQM were being arrested unlawfully and their whereabouts were not being disclosed, besides eight workers of the party were still missing.
How peace could be maintained in Karachi when Sindh chief minister along with his cabinet, shortly after talking oath of his office, preferred to visit the hideouts of the terrorists in Lyari, instead of visiting the Quaid’s Mausoleum, he asked, saying that how strange was it that the chief minister visited the terrorists involved in brutal killings of innocent people, desecration of dead bodies and extorting millions of rupees from industrialists and businessmen and whose acts of terrorism has resulted into ruining the city’s economy.
He said that shortly after the chief minister’s visit to the Lyari, the terrorists had started sending extortion slips to the city’s industrials, businessmen and owners of wedding halls, demanding huge money from them with a threat that in case they failed to pay the extortion money, they would have to face dire consequences.
On this occasion, he appealed to businessmen and transporters to keep their businesses shut on Thusday when the MQM has decided to observe a day of mourning to protest against the continued killing of Muttahida’s workers and sympathizers and issuance of extortion slips to industrialists, businessmen and owners of wedding halls and threats of dire consequence in case they failed to do so.
Earlier, the MQM leader prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls of the MQM workers kidnapped and killed by the terrorists in Malir and grant courage to the members of the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss. He also prayed for early recovery of Farhan Idress who was severely injured by the armed terrorists.
He also demanded of the government to adequate compensate the families of all the three deceased workers of the MQM, besides providing protection to the traders, industrialists and shop-keepers from the terrorists of the so-called PAC.
