MQM distances with Governor Sindh: Nadeem Nusrat

MQM distances with Governor Sindh: Nadeem Nusrat
 Posted on: 5/11/2015
The Deputy Convener of Muttahida Quami Movement Nadeem Nusrat demanded the Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan to render his resignation and join the party as worker or MQM had nothing to do with Governor Sindh.
Talking to +a press conference in Khursheed Begum Secretariat, MQM Leader said that Dr Ebad had MQM’s mandate and he became governor on party’s recommendation. He said that despite the continuous oppressions against the urban people, including families of MQM’s martyrs and Governor Sindh did not react appropriately on people’s wishes.
Mr. Nadeem Nusrat stated that after 11th March 2015 raid on Nine-Zero, he did not bother to visit MQM’s Headquarters to console the discriminated people. He said that MQM’s workers were being leveled false allegations for having militant wing but nobody seemed to comment on Zulfiqar Mirza’s militants.
He said that Altaf Hussain’s speeches were banned on national TV though he did not say anything controversial like PTI leader Imran Khan. He said that MQM was a representative of millions of people and any attempt to malign it would never get success.
Meanwhile, Dr Farooq Sattar said that Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan became a silent spectator on issues people had to suffer in Sindh, especially in Karachi. He said that MQM categorically announced separation from Governor Sindh and if he had love with Altaf Hussain and his nation, he must have resigned from his post and come back to work as a political worker.
Dr Sattar said that he demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at beginning of the operation to constitute a committee to monitor the whole process to be fair and impartial. He said that despite various demands and reminders, the committee was yet to be constituted and MQM workers were still being murdered in extra-judicial killings.
He said that during the Nine-Zero raid, security personnel arbitrarily entered into the house of Mr. Hussain’s elderly sister and violated her rights and nothing was come from the Governor Sindh. He said that he even did not take any notice for people’s issues and suffering, especially scarcity of water and electricity in Karachi
Dr Sattar said that the peace would be the most beneficial for the supporters of MQM and it was unthinkable that MQM would ever support any criminal activities. He said that MQM always supported actions against the criminals and never patronized any of them.
He questioned to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah for not taking any action against Zulfiqar Mirza for showing sheer lawlessness in Baden. He said that MQM had been facing media trial for long but the affiliations of people showed its penetration in the public.
