Terming the bomb blast occurred in Peshawar’s Imamia Colony Gulbahar `an open act of terrorism’, Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain said that the terrorists who are enemies of humanity were spilling blood of innocent people merely to achieve their nefarious designs.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, the MQM chief strongly condemned the bomb blast in which several people were killed and maimed, expressing his deep grief and sorrow over the tragic incident.
Mr Hussain prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant fortitude to the members of the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those who sustained injuries in the incident.
He demanded of President Asif Ali Zardari, caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso, the Interior Minister Malik Habib and the caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkwa to take serious notice of the incident, immediately arrest the culprits and give them exemplary punishment.
