Arrests of innocent workers of MQM should stop: MQM

If any arrested MQM worker is wanted in any case, they should be presented in a court
MQM Co-ordination Committee has condemned the continuing unwarranted arrests of MQM workers in different parts of Karachi and the raid on the party unit office in Shah Faisal area.
The Co-ordination Committee said that personnel of law enforcement agencies raided Unit 106 of the MQM in Shah Faisal area on Tuesday at 9:30 pm. They arrested Unit In-charge Khalil Ahmed and a member of the Unit Committee Dil Muhammad. Three other workers Tariq, Nafis and Hanif were also arrested in the raid. The arrested workers were beaten in public.
Following workers of MQM were arrested by law-enforcement agencies from different parts of the city.

Imran Yasin of Unit 77 and Muhammad Shakil of Unit 69 of Korangi Sector.
Asim Aftab of Unit 125 Qasba Aligarh Sector.
Shahnawaz, Naqqash of Unit 112 – C and Faisal Ansari of Unit 112 – B.
The Co-ordination Committee said that no information was being given about the whereabouts of the arrested workers that was a cause of great concern for their families.
The Co-ordination Committee demanded PM Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad and CM Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to stop the arrest of innocent MQM workers. It said that if any MQM worker were wanted in any case, they should be arrested and present in a court.
