MQM condemns attack on lady polio workers in Peshawar

The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement has deplored the attack on an anti-polio vaccination team in Badbher area of Peshawar resulting in the death of one lay worker and injuries to another lady worker. The committee termed the cowardly incident as unmitigated terrorism. In a statement, the Co-ordination Committee regretted that the elements targeting anti-polio vaccination teams in the country wanted to spoil the lives of innocent children by making them susceptible to the dangerous polio virus resulting in various physical disabilities.
The Co-ordination Committee sympathized with the bereaved family members of the deceased lady polio worker and prayed for the speedy recovery and good health of the injured worker. The committee appealed to President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso to take serious notice of the polio workers in Peshawar and bring the culprits before law.
