Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain said that after getting power one gets desirous which is a natural phenomenon.
Stating this over phone from London at the fourth session of MQM’s disbanded Coordination Committee, ad hoc Coordination Committee and the office-bearers of different departments, he said that there was no limit to humans desires owing to their weaknesses.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Hussain said that while undergoing the process of self-accountability and collective accountability we should also review that under which season occurred the utmost breeding of flies and mosquitoes.
Mr Hussain said that the movement’s responsibility would continue to suffer if MQM continued to run local government and become coalition partners in both the federal and provincial governments because a comfortable and easy life made human-beings lethargic and lazy, keep them away from hard work and, as such, they due to their weakness being human-beings become victim of their ego and, thus, become unable to see beyond their own-self.
The MQM chief exhorted every member of the party to discharge their duties diligently and with a zeal and must keep in mind that whenever they get power they would be accountable to the party and, as such, they must act in a balanced way in every matter by overcoming their desires.
