MQM shows concerns on poor law & order situation
 Posted on: 4/16/2015
KARACHI, 16-04-2015: The Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement expressed deep concerns over the poor law and order situation and new wave of terrorism in the Karachi.
In a statement, the Coordination Committee said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Federal Ministers rhetorically claimed that the law and order situation in the city had been under control but current killings of innocent civilians raised questions against those claims.
The Committee said that in the recent past, the terrorists attacked on Rangers’ vehicle and killed two personnel in North Nazimabad area. It said that SHO Preedy Police Station Ejaz Ali Khawaja was killed in Defence area, while an American-born lady doctor and Vice-Principal Jinnah Medical and Dental College, was also targeted on Shaheed-e-Millat Road.
The Coordination Committee said that the government had to revisit its policy on ongoing Karachi operation and should turn its focus on the terrorists. It said that until the focus of the operation would be fixed on to eliminate the terrorism, the peace could not be restored in Karachi.
