Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the suicidal attack on Banu’s Thana Domail in which five people, including two women, were killed and a murderous attempt made on the life of an independent candidate in Gujranwala.
Expressing his grief and sorrow over the deaths caused due to suicidal attack on Banu’s Thana Domail, the MQM chief said that though the acts of terrorism have been continuing unabated as part of terrorists’ conspiracy to bring in power their like-minded parties, the courage and valour with which political workers and people have been running their election campaigns was a clear proof that they were not afraid of the terrorists’ acts of cowardice and had also rejected their so-called Shariah.
He said that the attack on a police station of Banu has once again clearly indicated that the terrorists were bent upon destablising the country through their acts of terrorism.
Expressing his grief and sorrow over the deaths caused in the wake of a suicidal attack on Thana Domail, Mr Hussain prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.
The MQM chief demanded of president Asif Ali Zardari, caretaker prime minister and the Election Commission of Pakistan to take a serious notice of such terrorists attacks, arrest the culprits involved, besides giving them exemplary punishment.
