Condemning the bombing on the caravan of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazal’s (JUI-F) candidate Mufti Syed Janan inTehil Doaaba of Hingo on Tuesday, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain said that terrorists through their acts of barbarism and oppression wanted to have their control over government so as to impose their brand of Shariah in the country.
The terrorists which had been targeting democratic, enlightened and liberal parties to achieve their nefarious designs now wanted to deprive religious parties of their constitutional, legal and Islamic rights.
Reiterating that the conscious people of the country would reject the terrorists’ brand of Shariah, the MQM chief said that terrorists who killed and maimed innocent people by exploding bombs on the caravan of JUI-F candidate could not be anybody’s friend.
Earlier, Mr Hussain expressed his grave concern over the incident and expressed his sympathies with the JUI-F leader Fazal-ur-Rehman and other leaders over the tragic incident which claimed several lives, besides injuring a number of people including their party candidate, Mufti Syed Janan.
He also offered his condolence to bereaved families over the deaths of their near and dear ones and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured people.
