The victims of the twin blasts outside an election office of the MQM in Azizabad were laid to rest amid sobs and tears. Two MQM workers Rahat Khan and Muhammad Yunus and an 8-year-old boy Abdur Rehman were killed in the blasts outside unit 153 – A of the party.

The funeral prayer of Rahat Khan was offered in Jama Masjid Suffa in Azizabad Block 2, and the funeral prayer of Muhammad Yunus was offered in Rehmat Masjid Block 17. Both Rahat Khan and Muhammad Yunus were buried in Muhammad Shah graveyard in North Karachi.

The funeral prayer of Abdur Rehman S/O Abdus Saleem was offered in Almas Masjid, Azizabad Block 8 and he was buried in Yasinabad graveyard.

Member of the Co-ordination Committee Wasim Aftab and MQM election candidates Shaikh Salahuddin and Anwer Raza Naqvi, members of Karachi Tanzeemi Committee, office-bearers and workers of FB Area Sector and a large number of MQM sympathizers were present in the funerals.

Special prayers were offered for the martyrs and for courage and patience to the bereaved family members.
