Altaf Hussain Pays Tribute to People of Sindh for Observing Peaceful Day Of Mourning
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has paid rich tribute to people of Sindh for observing a peaceful day or mourning in the province to express solidarity with the victims of the Taliban bomb blast near MQM head offices in Azaizabad on Saturday. Mr Hussain particularly paid tribute to traders, industrialists, and transporters who suspended their transport and businesses to condemn relentless bombings against peaceful and democracy-loving civilians.
Mr Hussain said that the people of Sindh have demonstrated exemplary unity against the killings of the MQM office-bearers, workers, and other civilians. He said that Violence and terrorism cannot lower the courage and determination of the people supporting the MQM.
Mr Hussain added that the MQM was being subjected to the worst kind of terrorism in order to keep it away from the electoral process thereby depriving it of its constitutional, legal and democratic rights. It is highly unfortunate that the caretaker government has failed to stop the rampant killings of the MQM workers and the barbaric killers seem to have been given full freedom to play with the life and property of the people.
Mr Altaf Hussain also praised the MQM workers and sympathizers in the Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir for offering fateha and recitation of the Holy Quran for the martyrs.
