Altaf Hussain condemns the brutal killing of ANP candidate Sadiq Zaman and his son

Progressive and moderate political parties are being made targets of terrorism.
The Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the brutal killings of the ANP candidate for NA – 254 Sadiq Zaman Khattak and his son Shahid Khattak by armed terrorists in Bilal Colony area of Karachi. The family members of the deceased candidate say that he was coming out of a mosque with his son after offering the Friday prayer when he was targeted by the terrorists. This clearly demonstrates that the terrorist using the name of Islam had, in fact, nothing to do with Islam and were far removed from humanity.

Mr Hussain said that progressive and moderate political parties were being made targets of terrorism, and it appeared that terrorists had been given free rein to carry out bomb blasts. It was also evident from the fact that no one involved in incidents of killings, and bomb blast had been arrested. He called on the caretaker government that the killers of Sadiq Zaman and his son should be brought swiftly to justice.

Mr Hussain extended sympathies to the ANP leader and workers on the tragic incident and prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace.
